Did Someone Say Golf?
The 2026 Surat Basin Industry Classic, hosted in February by Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) was a fun day of golf, sunshine, laughter, some serious golfers, but more importantly, getting to know some fantastic people from across the region and building strong connections. A big shoutout to Nathan, Kylie and Donella of Celotti Workforce for the invitation to join your team - it was great spending time with you all.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
"I didn't read the SDS, it was water-based". In this case, the use of the water-based chemical, and lack of adherence to the safety information outlined in the SDS, resulted in a rather nasty chemical burn for the worker, in a very delicate part of their anatomy.
A safety data sheet (SDS), previously known as a material safety data sheet is an important information source for eliminating or minimising the risks associated with the use, handling and storage of hazardous chemicals (hazardous substances and/or dangerous goods) in workplaces.
Did you know?
An SDS must (i.e. mandatory):
- be in English
- contain unit measures expressed in Australian legal units of measurement
- state the date it was last reviewed (must be at least once every five years), or if it has not been reviewed, the date it was prepared
- state the name, Australian address and business telephone number of the manufacturer or importer
- state an Australian business telephone number from which information about the chemical can be obtained in an emergency.
15 Minutes of Fame
Each year, the Dalby Chamber of Commerce celebrate local small businesses, as part of Queensland Small Business Month, by hosting the "31 Faces of Small Business" campaign.
In May 2025 Donaldson HS&E Matters were selected as one of the 31 Faces of May. In addition to being featured on their social media pages, an invitation was extended to be interviewed by one of the Junior Chambers on Community Radio 4ddd. We accepted.
